Hand-Carved Olive Wood Last Supper – Bethlehem, the Holy Land
This extraordinary piece of craftsmanship has been hand-carved by a small, family-run business in the Holy Land, using olive wood sustainably sourced from Bethlehem.
Each figure has been carefully hand-carved, with individual facial expressions and beautifully detailed clothing that give the scene its distinctive character. The sculpture depicts Jesus seated at the table with His twelve disciples during the Last Supper.
The scene also features chalices, urns, plates and bowls, all carefully sanded and finished to a high standard. Once every individual piece meets the craftsmen’s exacting standards, the figures and accessories are securely arranged around the table to complete this remarkable work of art.
